Thirty three-year-old Darrell Proctor joins from the Deval Engineering as chief new project estimator, heading up the company’s Project Estimating Department.

The move follows the recent appointment of several network engineers, trainee apprentices and a new accounts manager, who have been significant boosts to the business and it looks to build on its growing reputation as infrastructure specialists.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Darrell brings over 15 years’ experience to the position.

He previously held senior positions with Houghton-le-Spring based Hunter Electric Services and Australia’s largest cabling and infrastructure firm DESA before moving to the UK.

His main responsibilities will be project estimating, job quotation and developing relationships with key specifiers, architects and mechanical and electrical contractors to ensure Advantex Network Solutions features on tender lists.

Advantex designs, installs and commissions’ data and voice local area networks (LANs) for commercial and industrial companies and the new appointments bring the number of full and part-time people working at the firm to over 30.

The appointments come as the company broke through the £1 million turnover mark in the summer – hitting its six-year target two years earlier than anticipated.
